Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inspector to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with home inspector experience and property management background eager to make a meaningful impact. The position involves engaging with potential clients, assessing property needs, and delivering strategic solutions to ensure client satisfaction and company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a make-ready estimate after each inspection, outlining necessary repairs and improvements to make the property rent ready.
- Rekey homes during inspections, ensuring that locks are secure and updated for move-ins.
- Thoroughly inspect all areas of the property, including interior, exterior, appliances, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
- Take clear, detailed photos of all aspects of the property, documenting any damages or areas requiring attention (including appliance serial numbers, filter measurements, and other specific details) on the inspection report.
- Provide a make-ready estimate after each inspection, outlining necessary repairs and improvements to prepare the property for rent. Focus on making the home attractive and in line with the company’s minimum standards, without overestimating to ensure fair pricing.
- Ensure that make-ready estimates are fair to both the property owners and the company, aiming for approval rates of 80% on estimates created.
- Rekey homes during inspections, ensuring that locks are secure and updated for move-ins.
- Be available to talk with Property Managers regarding any estimate adjustments or questions regarding make-ready estimates to ensure timely resolution of any issues.
- Qualifications:
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in business, real estate, or related fields is a plus.
- Previous experience in property management, maintenance or estimating is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using technology for data tracking and communication.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
